Meet Shanly
An eye for design.
A feeling for home.
Shanly Simpson is a New Zealand interior designer and abstract artist with more than 28 years of experience creating residential and commercial spaces. Her international career includes more than a decade working alongside Faye Resnick in Los Angeles, before returning to New Zealand in 2012.
Today, she brings that experience to homes across Auckland, beginning with the people who live in them. She listens closely, sees the possibilities in what you already own, and brings colour, texture and proportion into balance.
Her approach is personal and practical: beautiful rooms should feel comfortable, function naturally and tell your story. As an artist, she also creates original abstract paintings that bring another layer of expression to a space.

Where does Shanly work?
Shanly works across the Auckland and Rodney regions, designing for every kind of home—from suburban villas, bungalows, cottages and Art Deco homes to tiny homes, city apartments, coastal retreats and country homes. Can I keep furniture I already love?
Yes. A room can be refreshed using existing furniture, carefully selected new pieces, or a combination of both.
