The Hilton, Auckland.
The Brief.
Our client’s vision was to have his Auckland waterfront property look like an international luxury hotel suite.
The Design Process.
We started renovating this apartment by raising the wardrobes and replacing them with black matt frames and mirrors. After repainting the walls cashmere white, we replaced all the lighting and enhanced the spaces with wall sconces from Italy and ceramic handmade lamps by the famous NZ lighting designer Jeremy Cole. We built a New York wooden pelmet in the main lounge with electric controlled drapes.
Most of the furniture, including the sofas, bed, coffee table, upholstered wall and rug, were custom-made. Paintings are by artists Donna North and Margaret Woolley.
The outdoor space was designed for comfort and relaxation by adding outdoor furniture, cushions and a rug.
